    Midwest United FC - Chicago

    April 26, 2018, Grand Rapids, MI - Midwest United FC is proud to announce a new affiliation with Brasil-USA Futesoccer Academy (BRUSFA), in Bolingbrook Illinois, creating MidwestUnited FC-Chicago.  Luiz Claudio Evangelista, founder and Director of Training with BRUSFA, will act as Executive Director for Midwest United FC-Chicago.

    BRUSFA was founded in 2001, and has brought the art of futsal to Chicagoland. BRUSFA currently has 11 teams (8 boys, 3 girls), and operate out of their headquarters in Bolingbrook,IL.  Interested in replicating the Midwest United FC business model to expand onto the outdoor pitch, BRUSFA approached Midwest United FC’s Josh Sheldon about a partnership in 2016.

    Midwest United FC-Chicago will hold tryouts in mid-May to form teams for both genders at all ages for the 2018-19 outdoor soccer season. Tryout details will be announced soon. The club will look to form teams at both the Premier and Select levels competing in the NISL (Northern Illinois Soccer League) and the YSSL (Young Sportsmen’s Soccer League) leagues.

    About the new partnership, Executive Director Claudio Evangelista said, “I am very excited to partner with a club that has utmost expectations for the individual player.  An affiliation with Midwest United FC will make it possible for us to offer the complete soccer experience. Now we can ensure that players fulfill their dream, whether it's playing at the collegiate level or professional level. This is precisely what we need here in Chicago, as well as nationwide - a family-oriented club with a professional mindset.”

    Midwest United FC is happy to expand to the Chicago area our mission to enhance the lives of young athletes by developing their soccer skills and creating a passion for the game of soccer through professional coaching, quality programming, and team building within a competitive and positive club environment.

    Grand Valley Premier Soccer Club, dba Midwest United FC, is a registered 501(c)3 organization operating in West Michigan. Established in 1996, the club has a long tradition of developing players to succeed both on the pitch and off.
